Makeup Revolution – The Dead Are Alive palette review and swatches

As we all know by now, I’m obsessed with Halloween and all the merchandise that comes out with it.

So when I saw that Makeup Revolution released Halloween themed eyeshadows, I literally died. I ordered them straight away and eagerly awaited their arrival.

Firstly, I love the outer packaging! It’s deffo giving me those spooky vibes that I love so much.

Once the outer sleeve is removed, you get the typical, sleek looking packaging of a revolution palette. It definitely looks more expensive than it is.

Those colours though! They’re definitely perfect for a zombie Halloween look, or for a regular cool toned smokey eye. I absolutely love the names of the shadows, it really adds to the spookey Halloween theme.

Here’s a picture of the shadows with a flash. Here, you get 13 shimmer shadows and 3 matte shadows.

Here are swatches of Afterlife, Noise, Depart and The Dead with and without a flash.

Here are swatches of Are Alive, Exsist, Fall and Bury with and without a flash.

Here are swatches of Gone, Freak, Grave and Wail with and without a flash.

Here are Destruct, Immortal, Exit and Haunt with and without a flash.

How beautiful are these colours?! I can’t get over Fall, that gorgeous lilac-silver colour is unlike any shade I’ve seen before. Destruct is such an on-trend colour for Autumn, everyone seems to be going crazy for those burgundy shades.

As you can see, these shades are extemely pigmented. For the price, the quality is very high. The shadows are blendable and buttery, and don’t tend to be patchy.

Although this is a Halloween palette, it’s definitely worth picking up for autumnal looks, as well as dark smokey cool toned eyes. As well as this, the palette is currently on sale for £4(!) over on the Makeup Revolution site

I’m in love with this palette and will 100% be buying more from Makeup Revolution.  Have you ever tried this brand?
